So I have working very diligently on these characters, as much as they are testing my patience. So I'm almost done with my segmented rig. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it, if I make a mistake in one rig, it's like I'm making a mistake in three rigs. And since I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing, I keep double checking everything looks accordingly. And THANK GOD for Brent Wiley, who has been giving me such helpful notes along the way. I just got my final notes on the rig guides and final mesh for all three characters, which I finished today.

After finishing these notes, I started to segment and constraint on Kai alone and realized that when I'm constraining, I want to make sure I'm actually constraining to the correct joint. I've done my best guesses at them and sent it off to Professor Wiley for another round of feedback. Hopefully everything looks okay in him, that way I won't make the same mistake on Amira or Maya. If I only had one character, it may not have been that big of a deal that I would keep asking for feedback. But since the rig is so early in its stages, and somehow it has been very finicky, I don't want to take any more chances. Once I get feedback based on Kai's mesh, I'll implement the same changes in Maya and Amira and will hopefully have three fully functioning rigs by tomorrow. Then starting on basic posing.
