Third Day (Today Sunday Dec 18) 31 days left till break is done - So I made whatever changes I wanted to Maya's body - specifically her clothes. I went completely different from my concepts, but when you're the rigger, animator, concept artist, I think that's completely valid. Plus, she looks so cute. I got a lot of really helpful feedback from friends and she might still go through a few more tweaks, but I think she looks pretty solid for the most part. I also modeled like five different hairstyles to show her aging.... Okay, hair is really difficult guys. Like it's fun because it feels like you're modeling play-doh, but when you're trying to make a specific look and not actual hair, it's challenging.

 This is her outfit for the beginning scene. 


Proposal: She has a flower in her hair. 


Wedding:



Falling Down Scene: Tried to give her an Elsa-ish braid. The tights show up after she has a kid. I tried to give her a mature-ish sort of look whenever she has a kid.


End Outfit: Her hair is pulled back so you see a little bit in the front. I often find myself tying my hair back whenever I'm irritated, sad, or frustrated. I'd imagine Maya would do the same.



So yeah, that's my progress so far! Tomorrow - tackle optimizing Kai's model and retopology to make sure his mesh is clean. And cut all the necessary segments to make sure it's ready for further rigging. I need to switch gears and work on him for a day. Also I need to come up with a concept for the child. Don't worry I didn't forget about the baby. Till tomorrow.
